Bhisma Pitamaha - 1(Charactor of Mahabharat):-
Bhisma Pitamaha was son of famous kuru ruler, "Shantanu". He originated from Devi Ganga. "Dyoy", who was the ninth "Vasu" had to take birth on earth in the form of Bishma due to a curse from "Maharishi Vasishtha". Bishma learnt all the Vedas and art of weaponery in his early teenage. While practising archery once, he stopped the flow of holy river Ganga by his arrows. He was called as "Devvrat" in his childhood.
Once, king Shantanu was going through a forest. Suddenly he saw a beautiful girl, "Satyavati" there and fell in love with her. He wanted to marry her. But, father of Satyavati, "Kaivartraj" wanted that the child from Satayvati's womb should become the heir to the throne and not Bhisma. Shantanu rejected this offer, but he could not forget Satyavati. He became sad and depressed in her thought. When Bhisma came to know about it, then he went to the father of Satyavati and pledged there, that only Satyavati's son will become the next king. This also did not please Kaivartraj, then Bhisma pledged to remain a virgin whole life. At this moment, the heaven bestowed flowers on Bhisma. Shantanu became delighted at this abd awarded his son with blessing of death at will. Now, hewill die only at his wish.
Satyavati gave birth to two children. Elder one was, "Chitrangad" and younger one was, "Vichitravirya". Shantanu passed away when Chitrangad was not young enough but as a rule, Chitrangad became the king. But in a battle against, Ghadharvaas, he lost his life. After this, Vichitravirya became the king but as he was small, Bhisma looked after the kingdom. Bhisma forcefully brought three daughters of the king of Kashi from their swayamvara to marry them to Vichitravirya. Seeing this, all the kings who came there for the swayamwara, attacked Bhisma but he defeated all of them, alone.

Art Gallery
Leonardo da Vinci is regarded as the most famous painter of the world, even after 500 years from the high renaissance period. A philosopher, scientist, engineer, architect -a complete human embodiment of a great genius. He compares with no one in history, others compare with him in artforms, scientific foresight, engineering details. He was handsome and a fine musician and with a persuasive power in conversation, he could win the hearts of all he came across.
Leonardo da Vinci did not paint a large number of paintings compared to his contemporary renaissance artists. He could not complete most of his paintings. Many of his paintings were left unfinished, when he died. Some of the paintings were destroyed by enemy forces, some were mutilated. Many of his paintings were stolen and sold out. Later artists touched upon them to give completeness.
Leonardo da Vinci was also engaged in freso paintings. Between 1503 and 1506, he worked on a large fresco of the battle of Anghiari for a wall of the Sala del Gran Consiglio in the Palazzo della Signioria, florence facing a fresco by Michelangelo. He experimented with different techniques of fresco art. The painting was eventually lost.
Madonna litta is unquestionably one of the most lovely painting, the world has preserved. The painting may have been completed after later artists or two of his pupils rendered finishing touches on the finer aspects of smoothness of the figures, coloring of the dress against the serene atmostphere of the landscape and facial expression of child christ. The exact history of the painting is still not known. From Venice it reached Litta family in Milan. Russian Emperor Alexander II purchased the painting for the Hermitage collection in 1865 and at last deposited the painting in the Hermitage Museum, where it has been exhibited to this day. The painting was briefly featured in the 2006 film The Da Vinci Code.

Inspirational Story
BUTTERFLY
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for Strength.........
And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........
And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........
And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........
And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........
And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........
And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........
I received everything I needed!
So, Trust in God. Always !

Why Shlokas?????
hi friends,
From today, we are going to start a new journey-" a journey of Geeta" . Geeta is the greatest epic of indian literature . It is originally a dicussion between Shri Krishna and Arjuna , about different aspects of life, different goals of life and those ways, which are justified to attain the goals. It was written by Maharishi Vyas. Maharishi Vyas used sanskrit shlokas to represent this discussion.
Now a question aries why shlokas or mantras ? Before giving the answer of this question, we will discuss some aspects and characterstics of shlokas or mantras.
As we know, shlokas are the part of sanskrit language. But how can we define these shlokas?? I think a shloka is a sentence of infinite power, considered self efficacious. Shloka fulfill some purpose greater than ordinary communication, which is the transfer of inforrmation from an emitter to a receiver, or that of in a reflection or introspection. When we communicate in normal words, the attention of user is focused on the word or on the syntactical aspect of the messege. In the case of shlokas, the attention of user may pass on the other plane, transcendent reality of which the shlokas is the expression.
Shlokas are also useful for health. We must never forget that our spiritual and mystical experiences obtained with the help of shlokas, are experiences of the human mind. For different states of conciousness, shlokas are merely instrumental. As people says, a shloka, on the magical plane, gives us what we wish for. On spiritual plane, it is an effective tool for concentration. Different researchs have proved the magical effect of shlokas .
Although , researchers are trying to find the link between shloka and supernatural power, but i am already sure they will get positive result .
Different shlokas in Geeta are the examples of the magical use of language because sounds or words used in this way are deemed to have an innate efficiency. Some researchs concludes, while the person acts the shlokas, they focus attention on the godhead or on the cosmic or religious meaning or bearing of the action, so Maharishi Vyas used sanskrit shlokas in Geeta. I think, he wanted that whenever a person read Geeta, he gets something new. And i am sure that he plays successful role for social enchancement through Geeta.

Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high;
And you want to smile,but you have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit;
Rest if you must but don't you quit;
Success is failure turn inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you're;
It may be near when seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit;
